Quick answers

What is Pulse Duo?

Pulse Duo lets two partners send each other custom haptic patterns — silent taps you feel on your iPhone or Apple Watch. No text, no chat; only touch.

How do we connect?

One partner taps Create an invite and shares the 6-character code; the other enters it under I have a code. That's it — you're paired.

Why can't I pair my own iPhone and Apple Watch together?

Your iPhone and Watch share the same Apple ID, so to Pulse Duo they're the same person. Pulse Duo connects two different people — your partner needs to be on their own device with their own Apple ID.

How do I send a pulse?

Tap any pattern on the home screen (or use a widget / watch complication). Your partner's device plays the haptic. You can build up to five patterns, each with its own name, color, and tap sequence.

How do I disconnect?

Open the menu (•••) on iPhone or the bottom of the list on Apple Watch and choose Disconnect. This ends the connection for both of you and removes that couple's patterns and history.

Is my data private?

Yes. Pulse Duo has no servers, no tracking, and no ads. Everything lives in your own iCloud via Apple CloudKit, and the developer can't read it. See the Privacy Policy.

What do I need to run it?

An iPhone on iOS 17 or later, and optionally an Apple Watch on watchOS 10 or later. An iCloud account (signed in) is required to connect with your partner.
