Quick answers
The things people ask most.
Just download Battery Guard from the Mac App Store and open it. Every feature is unlocked for 14 days — no account, no card. When the trial ends, you can subscribe or buy Lifetime from inside the app.
Click the Battery Guard icon in your menu bar, then choose Settings. From there you can configure alerts, the menu bar icon, widgets, language, themes, and more.
Open System Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions (or use the App Store). There you can switch plans or cancel; you keep access until the end of the current period.
Purchases go through the App Store, so refunds are handled by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com with your Apple Account.
Completely. Battery Guard has no network access at all — every reading is computed and stored on your Mac, and nothing is ever sent off your device.
Quit and reopen Battery Guard, and make sure you're on macOS 14.0 or later. Readings come straight from macOS and your hardware; if something still looks off, email us with your Mac model and macOS version.
